Well, it’s on again, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota. It brings back some wonderful memories when we rode there in 2010 from Seattle. It was a long hot trip and (little did we know) we could have used some sheepskin seat covers for our Harley.
Traveling through South Dakota and Montana in 100 degree weather was killer. We were total sweat wherever the leather on our seats and back rests would touch us. Yuck! We had to do something, it was so uncomfortable. We were told sheepskin would help reduce the sweat making it much more comfortable to ride. I knew sheepskin offered a wonderful barrier because I had a gel seat with sheepskin on top and it really helped. So why not put sheepskin on both bike seats and back rests?
So, we purchased the Ultimate Sheepskin motorcycle seat covers in black. I know what you’re thinking…black? We chose the black sheepskin because it looked best with our red bike. But it was a concern that the black would absorb the heat…NOT. Amazing stuff sheepskin is. It keeps you warm in the cold weather and cool in the hot weather. And the black looks…sexy. Don’t you think?
Our next trip to Sturgis (or wherever the road takes us) will be a lot more comfortable with the sheepskin barrier protecting us from the heat and reducing the sweat it creates. Who knew sheepskin motorcycle seat covers would do this?
We had ours custom made to fit our bike. Well worth the investment! And they’re easily removed which is such a plus here in Seattle. However, if you’re just looking for the single pelt sheepskin motorcycle seat covers, then Ultimate Sheepskin has those as well. Get them here with or without straps to easily take on or off.
